Seeking Volunteer Dialysis Drivers
CSC operates two
buses, the Lakeshore Bus and the Tecumseh Bus. Both buses
offer curb-to-curb transportation from the client’s residence or
other established point of pick up to the requested point of
destination. Both buses can accommodate 4 standard sized
wheelchairs and 12 ambulatory clients OR 18 ambulatory clients and 1
standardized wheelchair. Larger sized wheelchairs such as,
bariatric chairs and scooters take up extra room and therefore may
require two WC spaces to accommodate. Both buses offer a morning run
and an afternoon run. Both buses do not operate on New Year’s
Day, Family Day in February, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria
Day, Canada Day, Civic Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Monday,
Remembrance Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New
Year’s Eve Day.
LAKESHORE BUS
The Lakeshore Bus
travels to the City of Windsor every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
MORNING
RUN:
The Lakeshore Bus picks up registered bus clients at 7am to 7:15am
(Lighthouse Cove Area), 7:15am to 7:30am (Stoney Point/Comber/St
Joachim Area), 7:45am to 8am (Belle River/Woodslee Area), 8am-8:15am
(Emeryville/Puce Area). The Lakeshore Bus picks up registered
bus clients in the City of Windsor beginning at 9:30am and as late
as 10:30am *return pick ups are generally done west to east*
AFTERNOON
RUN:
The Lakeshore Bus picks up registered bus clients at 11:15am-11:30am
(Lighthouse Cove Area), 11:30am to 11:45am (Stoney Point/Comber/St
Joachim Area), 11:45am to 12pm (Belle River/Woodslee Area), 12pm to
12:15pm (Emeryville/Puce Area). The Lakeshore Bus picks up
registered bus clients in the City of Windsor beginning at 2pm *return
pick ups are generally done west to east*
Clients that book
the Lakeshore Bus to travel to medical appointments should make
their appointments for 9am to 9:15am or for 1pm to 1:15pm to ensure
the bus is able to make the appointment time.
To cancel a
booking registered clients must leave a message at 519.728.1435 by
7am the morning of their scheduled booking to avoid being charged
for the booking.
All bookings are
to be made by contacting CSC and booking with the Transportation
Coordinator.
Fares range from
$5 to $14 (round trip fares) *one way fares are not offered*
Registration is
required for all Tecumseh Bus users. Applicants that less than
55 years of age must submit with their application proof of their
disability (CPP-Disability statement, ODSP statement, Physician’s
Note).
TECUMSEH BUS
The Tecumseh Bus
travels to the City of Windsor every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, and Friday.
MORNING
RUN:
The Tecumseh
Bus picks up registered bus clients between 7:45am to 8:45am.
The Tecumseh Bus picks up registered bus clients in the City of
Windsor beginning at 11am and as late as 11:30am *return pick ups
are generally done west to east*
AFTERNOON
RUN:
The Tecumseh
Bus picks up registered bus clients at 12:15pm to 1pm The Tecumseh
Bus picks up registered bus clients in the City of Windsor beginning
at 2:30pm *return pick ups are generally done west to east*
Clients that book
the Tecumseh Bus to travel to medical appointments should make their
appointments for 9:30am or for 1:30pm to ensure the bus is able to
make the appointment time.
To cancel a

Bus
Passes are available at a cost of $100. Passes provide for 10
round trips to the City of Windsor plus a trip.
