The Transit
Bus has expanded to include bus trips to medical facilities and
clinics. Group
trips to recreational centers and service club meetings are also available.
Tilbury Residents wishing to travel to destinations within Lakeshore or Windsor will be
able to ride our EAST
Bus coming
soon. (January 2009)
About
Our Bus
The Transit Buses provide transportation from
the clients’ residence or other established point of pickup, to the
requested point of destination.
The buses can accommodate 4 wheelchairs and 12
walk-ons OR a total of 18 walk-ons plus 1 wheelchair
Lakeshore pick-ups include but are not limited
to Puce, Emeryville, Comber, Woodslee, St. Joachim, Stoney Point,
Lighthouse Cove, and Belle River.
The Lakeshore area bus travels to Windsor on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday and provides local transportation on Tuesday
and Thursday.
The Tecumseh area Bus travels to Windsor
Monday-Friday as well as local stops.
Fees Vary inquire within.
Eligibility
The Transit Bus is prioritized for seniors 55 +
or those with a disability. All interested individuals are encouraged to
apply.
Within Lakeshore
Local
Transportation is available every Thursday within the Town of
Lakeshore.
Fares range from $5-$11
dependant on pickup location. Local trips include a 2-stop maximum. Extra stops are $3 each.
Trips to Windsor
The
Transit Bus travels twice daily to Windsor destinations on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays.
Fares
range from $10-$14 dependant on pickup location. Extra stops are $4
each.
